The online news magazine of ERCIM (European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics), ERCIM News, has Software Quality as the special theme for its issue 99, corresponing to October of 2014. Several of the articles featured in it refer to ISO/IEC 25000 as the model for software product quality evaluation.
On the 13th of June, 2014, the product MSH-Mobile 2.6.1, developed by SER&Practices, was certified as conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 - Software Product Maintainability, making it the first software product certified in conformity with ISO/IEC 25000 in Italy. The certificate of conformity was issued by AENOR, while the software product maintainability evaluation was carried out by the accredited laboratory AQC Lab.
The Forum for Software Quality was held on 9 and 10 June, 2014 in the Ciudad de la Cultura in Santiago de Compostela. It was organized by the Colegio Profesional de Ingeniería en Informática de Galicia (CPEIG) (Software Engineering Professional Association of Galicia) and the Agencia para la Modernización Tecnológica de Galicia (AMTEGA) (Agency for the Modernization of Galician Technology). The ISO/IEC 25000 series of standards was featured in several of the talks and events that took place during the two days of the Forum.
The informative conference "ISO/IEC 25000: Calidad del Producto Software, Factor clave para la competitividad de empresas y organismos" ("ISO/IEC 25000: Software Product Quality, A key factor for the competitiveness of companies and organizations"), organized by AENOR, was held on 29 April, 2014 with the purpose of presenting the certification of Software Product Quality conforming to ISO/IEC 25000. The conference included presentations from representatives of AENOR, AQC Lab, Optimyth, and Bitware.
The informative conference "ISO/IEC 25000: Calidad del Producto Software, Factor clave para la competitividad de empresas y organismos" ("ISO/IEC 25000: Software Product Quality, A key factor for the competitiveness of companies and organizations"), organized by AENOR, will be held on 29 April, 2014.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the certification of Software Product Quality conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 and the process followed to obtain it, and to explain how IT departments, software factories, consultants and system integrators that offer Quality Office solutions can get ready for certification with commercially available tools. The event will also feature talks regarding the experience of several companies that have already obtained the certificate, and will discuss the benefits of such certification.
