The AENOR magazine Nº 288 (December 2013) includes an article about software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 and the experience of the three companies, Bitware, Enxenio and Sicaman, which participated in the pilot project for certification carried out during 2013 by AENOR and AQC Lab.

The VIII Congreso Nacional y Exposición: VISION13, organized by itSMF España, took place on 11 and 12 November at the Hotel NH Parque Avenidas in Madrid, and it attracted more than 400 registered attendees. Under the motto "Impulsando los nuevos modelos de negocio" ("Promoting new business models"), the congress included software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 among its topics for the first time.
On the 25th of September, 2013, AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification) issued the first Software Product Quality certificates for products complying with the international standard ISO/IEC 25000 - Systems and Software Engineering -- Systems and software Quality Requirements and Evaluation, also known as SQuaRE.
Enxenio, Sicaman, and Bitware comply with the requirements of the standard regarding the maintainability of their products, i.e. the degree of effectiveness and efficiency with which a product or system can be modified (corrected, improved or adapted) by the intended maintainers.
