EvalCOMIX-FLOASS_Server 4.3.4 and EvalCOMIX-FLOASS_MD 4.4.4 from Universidad de Cádiz have received the ISO/IEC 25000 certificate for Functional Suitability. The certificate has been issued by AENOR taking the evaluation carried out by the accredited laboratory AQCLab as a basis.
The EvalCOMIX-FLOASS environment is a technology that builds on the assessment as learning approach to facilitate the process of monitoring and evaluating learning outcomes. It consists of two main components: ‘EvalCOMIX-FLOASS_Server 4.3.4’ and the ‘EvalCOMIX-FLOASS_MD 4.4.4’ plugin for Moodle. The server allows the design and management of instruments to assess learning outcomes and competences, while the plugin facilitates their integration into Moodle.
The EvalCOMIX-FLOASS environment allows in an intuitive and easy way:
- The management of learning outcomes (LA) for each subject. The ARs expected to be achieved in the subject, course or training activity are entered in the environment's database.
- The design and management of the assessment instruments. First of all, it is necessary to choose the type of assessment instrument that best suits the nature of the activity and the product or performance to be carried out by the participants or students. Instruments can be: Assessment Scale; Checklist + Assessment Scale; Checklist; Rubric; Semantic Differential; Mixed Instrument and Evaluative Argument.
-
Planning the evaluation. Each instrument is linked to the corresponding product or performance of the evaluation activity. The environment allows:
- Assign roles to the assessor through the programming of participatory modes of assessment (self-assessment, peer assessment) in addition to assessment by teachers or trainers;
- Weighting of scores in each assessment modality;
- Scheduling the dates on which the assessments are to be carried out;
- Choose between individual and group assessments with specific student and group assignment;
- Optar por incorporar todas las valoraciones o las no extremas, así como el umbral concreto.
- Implementation of assessment through self-assessment, peer assessment and teacher assessment.
- Obtaining information on the level of achievement of learning outcomes. The environment generates reports per student, work groups and all students on the degree of progress and achievement of the learning outcomes.
With this Functional Suitability certificate, Universidad de Cádiz can assure its users that this platform complies completely and correctly with the functional requirements described for it, thus improving the confidence and satisfaction of its users.
